I don’t know why, but I had a fascination towards the wild animals and studying their lifestyle. And, the easiest place to get a closer look at them is zoo. I never got tired of visiting zoo and looking closely at different species of birds and animals, hearing their sounds and observing their vibrant colors. Though I used to always feel bad for them as they have taken away from their natural habitat and kept in a restricted area. But, today zoo have evolved and developed in such a way that they resemble more to the habitat of each animal. So, here is the list of top of my favorite zoos in the world.

  • The Singapore Zoo:

This is one of the most popular zoos in the world. The Singapore Zoo has an incredible landscape design which replicates life in the wild for each of their animal species. You can see many species of birds and animals living up close. There are dozens of unique attractions here including feeding elephants, and entertainment by orangutans.

  • The National Zoological Gardens of South Africa:

Part of the Disney Theme Park collection in Orlando, Florida, Animal Kingdom is home to over 1500 animals and hundreds of birds and fishes. It’s a commercial zoo and the keepers do their very best to keep the animals close to their natural habitat and less disturbed by humans. Animal Kingdom also promotes conservation among people and plays active part in preserving natural habitat of animals.

  • The Bronx Zoo, New York:

This zoo is spread on 250 acres of land and home to many endangered species of animals, birds, and reptiles. The Bronx Zoo is the biggest zoo you can find in any metropolitan place in the United States. The major attraction in this zoo is the Tiger Mountain where you can see the Siberian tigers. Also, don’t forget to join the African Safari of Congo Gorilla Forest or Madagascar to meet the lemurs.

  • Smithsonian National Zoological Park, Washington DC:

This zoo is the part of the world’s largest museum and research complex. The best part of this zoo is that the admission is always free, which is the reason why it is visited by thousands of people in year. Spread in 163 acres of land, the zoo is home to nearly 2,000 animals brought from every part of the world. The main attraction of Smithsonian National Zoological Park is the Giant Pandas. So, don’t forget to say hello to them when you visit this zoo.

Each of these zoos is a great place to learn about animals and how you can you protect them by saving nature. It’s a great learning experience for children and adults as we tend to forget how magnificent nature is.
