Hydrating Drinks for the Rainy Season

Rainy season has finally entered in most parts of the country. But, it’s not really a relief as there still lot of humidity, dust winds and continuous changing weather that affects our body. Most of us face either some kind of stomach problem or health problem and not to forget the grease skin. No matter how many time you wash the face, you feel your body stick. So, apart from taking external care for your skin, what you can do to make your skin, healthy and hydrated.

The answer to this is by drinking healthy juices. We don’t really drink lot of water in rainy season which is actually a mistake. As in rainy season our body comes in contact with many kind of bacteria. So, it’s very important to make your immune stronger and flush out the toxins from body. Only water won’t help you in doing that. With hydration, you need proper minerals and proteins to rejuvenate your body and skin to look healthy.

So, here are the list of drinks you can consume of regular basis to keep you skin healthy and so your body.

  • Coconut water

Tender coconut water is available almost all round the year. This water is considered as “fluid of life” because of beneficial properties. Rich in nutrients and vitamins like riboflavin, thiamin niacin, and pyridoxine, and folates, coconut water improves you immune system, lower down blood pressure, helps in weight loss, improve blood circulation, hydrates skin, and control acne. So, next time when you go out and have fresh coconut water to get beautiful skin.

  • Green Tea

Like most of Indian people, I also love drinking “Masala Chai” (Spiced Tea) instead of green tea in rainy season. But, I make sure I do drink green tea at least 5 times a week. Green tea contains antioxidant properties that helps cleanse your system. Also, you will drink more water once you consume green tea. Green tea also hydrates your skin, control oil secretion from skin and keeps your mind fresh.

  • Butter Milk

This is one drink that can be easily found in most of the Indian kitchens. Butter milk contains enzymes that boost your digestion, cools of your body, kills bacteria and give hydration to skin. Have a glass of butter milk daily to keep your digestion in best condition.

  • Fresh Fruit Juice

The best way to stay healthy during whole monsoon is drink and eat right. You can start that by drinking fresh fruit juice daily. With this I don’t mean juice you get from street vendors. You can get fruits like watermelon, papaya, lychees, pomegranates etc. All you have to do some efforts to cleaning them and making fresh fruit juice. Fruits juices available outside are prone to be contaminated, thus they actually have reverse effect on your health and you can easily get sick.

A healthy looking skin needs a healthy body. Our skin gives us indication on what our body actually needs. If you take care of your health now, you will be able to enjoy the whole rainy season without actually getting worried of being sick.
